For non-life threatening/non-emergency situations, such as to report something lost or stolen, dial 101 to file a report with police.
In case of a serious accident, first contact the police at 999.
EMERGENCY SERVICES (POLICE/ AMBULANCE / FIRE): dial 999

Phone the NHS on 111 to speak with a health care representative and locate the nearest clinic (interpretation services available).
General healthcare
For inquiries about non-life threatening health conditions and services, call the NHS Inform helpline at 0800 22 44 88 between 8 AM and 10 PM.
Pharmacies/chemists
Phone the NHS helpline at 0800 22 44 88 or look on www.nhs24.com to find your nearest pharmacy. Major pharmacy chains include Boots and Superdrug, and opening hours are normally 9 AM – 6 PM Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 1 PM on Saturdays and closed (most locations) on Sundays.
Dentists
For emergency dental treatment, go to the nearest hospital.
Health insurance
We urge all customers to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Insurance is not available through Nordic Visitor and our Cancellation Protection does not replace it.
European citizens must show their European Health Insurance (EHIC) card or else the patient will be charged in full. If you're from outside Europe, you'll need to claim back from your travel insurance based on your policy.
