Castle Howard in Scotland

Castle Howard

Castle Howard is a stately home near York in the Howardian Hills, surrounded by over 1,000 acres of pristine natural beauty including lakes, fountains, temples, woodland and a walled garden. Starting in 1699, construction of the sprawling house took over 100 years to complete, spanning three generations of the Howard family—who still own the residence today.

With its awe-inspiring architecture, elegant interiors and prized art collections, the castle is now considered one of Britain’s finest rural estates and has been used as a backdrop for a number of films and TV shows.
