Alnmouth is a quaint seaside resort with colourfully painted cottages, little shops and cafes and golden sand beaches that are perfect for long barefoot walks or building sand castles. South of the River Aln in the village is a more remote stretch of the beach with expansive dunes that are home to a variety of birds and wildlife.
