It is located on the west coast near the eponymous village of Glencoe and the unofficial "outdoor capital of Scotland", Fort William. This area is a haven for sport and nature enthusiasts with its great hiking, biking and winter skiing trails.
Glen Coe is a designated National Scenic Area, and besides its breathtaking nature it is known as the site of the infamous Massacre of Glencoe of 1692. You may also recognise it from famous films such as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Skyfall.
