Abbotsford House is the ancestral home of Sir Walter Scott, the famous 19th century novelist and poet. It is beautifully located on the banks of the River Tweed, set within a landscape that inspired the poetry and novels of its creator. Scott even designed the house himself. The home's fragrant, colourful gardens are also worth a visit, or you can take a walk here along one of the trails in the surrounding woodlands.
