The Scottish National Gallery houses the Scottish national collection of fine art, including works by Scottish and international painters and sculptors. The exhibitions range from the early Renaissance period up to the 20th century, with a particularly impressive selection of Old Masters. Among the many masterpieces here are works by Raphael, Titian, Velázquez, Vermeer, Monet and Van Gogh.
The National Gallery is located on a hill known as The Mound, between the Old Town and New Town of Edinburgh at the edge of Princes Street Gardens.
