The lively hub of Skye
Portree is Skye’s cultural centre and largest town with around 2,500 residents. Built around a natural harbour and surrounded by cliffs and hills, it’s a popular tourist destination and serves as an excellent base for exploring the rest of the island. North of the town is the spectacular Trotternish Ridge with its popular rock formations of Kilt Rock and the Old Man of Storr as well as the scenic road over the Quiraing.
